Why Winter Is Ganges Season
North India’s weather sets the calendar. From October the monsoon is over, the air clears and temperatures fall; December and January can be chilly in the early morning, with river mist at dawn. From about April the heat builds quickly, and the summer monsoon follows. That is why Ganges river cruises in 2026 and every year concentrate in the cooler months.
